The Story – “Archetype of Scorpio ” – The Shadow Queen

Inspired by Persephone, goddess of the Underworld and rebirth, this archetype embodies the Scorpio spirit of transformation, desire, and mystery. Her gaze is calm yet unyielding, a reflection of the strength found in descent, the courage to walk through darkness and emerge renewed.

The narcissus blooms crown her head, a nod to the mythic flower that lured her into Hades’ realm, while the serpent coils around her form, symbolizing both danger and renewal. Its golden sheen mirrors the lure of forbidden knowledge. The patterns that envelop her body pulse like living roots, fragments of the Underworld blossoming into color.

Framed in Art Nouveau geometry and surrounded by the Scorpio glyph and celestial halo, she stands between light and shadow, mortality and immortality. Scorpio, the sign of depth and rebirth, finds its reflection in her, seductive, powerful, and unafraid of the truth that lies beneath the surface

The artwork is hand-drawn digitally, then produced in a limited edition run of 25 giclée prints.  Each painting is signed and numbered on the front. A unique Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Artist is also included for each painting.

A flat shipping rate of USD 150 is applicable to worldwide deliveries for stretched canvas (except for the UAE, it is free). This rate covers the special protective packaging, stretching, export customs clearance charges and large parcel door-to-door delivery courier charges.
