Flight to the Cosmos

Digital Artwork Sold as NFT - 3543x2658px / 150 DPI

This “Flight to te Cosmos” NFT artwork presents the viewer with a unique perspective where one seems to be approaching the end of a tunnel that opens up to a galactic vastness, where logos of digital currencies float in celestial bliss. In antiquity, the history of tunnels can be traced all the way back to 2000 BC where they were initially used for irrigation purposes. However, over a couple of millennia, tunnels have evolved into an architectural marvel being used for a variety of functions, even making their way into the potential designs of spaceships.

In the oeuvre, the tunnel seems to be a part of a space vessel that is mid-voyage and has travelled to great heights. The walls of the tunnel are lined with the patterns of swirling florals which guides the viewers’ focus to the view that lays at the end. The restricted view of the cosmos evokes a sense of mystery and wonder, as one is made to question what could possibly be out there. There is solace and comfort by being within the colourful walls of the tunnel, however there is wonder and adventure that awaits outside. It is for us to choose whether we go or stay…
