5 Ways to Promote your NFT Art

Picture this: you’re a digital artist who has spent weeks pouring your heart and soul into creating a collection of artwork that is reflective of your creative spirit. Then, you mint and pay for the gas, get your art on the blockchain and after that…. nothing. You don’t sell a single NFT and all those thousands of dollars that you thought you would make from your art, never happen.

There are a couple of reasons why this might happen, however one of the prominent reasons would be the lack of promotion and marketing of your NFTs. Yup, it is that simple. How are you going to sell anything if the right people are not aware of your work in the first place?

So, in this blog, I will be exploring the 5 ways in which you can promote your NFT art, starting from:

  • Getting all your socials involved

Regardless of what your follower count is, you should be talking and posting about your NFTs on all of your social media channels. Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok are the main ones to be using. Create content that centres around your NFT artwork, this could simply be a behind-the-scenes look into how you work on your art to announcements about your upcoming NFT drop

Having worked with social-media marketing experts extensively, my key takeaway from the experience has been about the importance of investing time in building a well thought out NFT marketing strategy. This could involve creating content beforehand, using the right hashtags and scheduling posts to lead up to the announcement of a new NFT series. It always helps to look like you have a plan and everything is going according to it…

  • Joining Discord

Discord has quickly become a platform of choice for gamers and all the techies out there. Most importantly, there is a burgeoning community of NFT artists and buyers who have dedicated public Discord servers that focus on NFT collectibles and artworks. The userbase for Discord is a key demographic to market your NFTs, as people there are already in the knowhow and are looking for NFT opportunities to invest in. You can start off by joining Discord events and get a feel of the platform, before you take the plunge.

  • Visiting or participating in local NFT art events

With the NFT boom of the past two years, promoting NFTs is not an endeavour that is exclusively relegated online, as there is a growing number of actual art events that aim to bring together artists and collectors under one roof to network and promote their work. This is a great opportunity for any NFT artist to integrate themselves into the local NFT scene, get the word out and also find fellow artists to provide mutual support and guidance. This brings us to…

  • Collaborating with other NFT artists

You might have noticed how frequent and popular NFT collaborations are, this is largely due to how mutually beneficial this arrangement is as both parties are able to promote their work to each other’s audience. This is obviously something that takes time and considerable planning, as well as finding the right kind of people that you would like to collaborate with. However, when done right, a collaboration can be an incredible opportunity for your NFT art to hit stratosphere!

  • Using paid advertising

If you are short on time and just would like to focus all your efforts on creating your art, then making use of advertising services involving Google ads and other social media channels will be of great benefit. Depending on your budget, you can use an advertising agency that focuses on promoting NFT art that can take away the burden of NFT art marketing off of your shoulders.

There you have it, just a couple of ideas to consider when promoting your NFT art. It bears repeating that consistency is key and you have to stick to promoting your NFT art consistently if you want to get anywhere with it. So, if you have started minting, then it is time to start promoting as well. So, get going now!
